Coffee Culture at College and Bathurst

Coffee Culture Toronto

Coffee Culture College and Bathurst

For those of you who are tired of Starbucks, Second Cup, and Timmies, there’s a new kid on the block, Coffee Culture, 409 College Street, that has sprung up one block east of Bathurst! Offering more ambiance than its rivals, Coffee Culture has several booths along both sets of windows. A friend and I recently visited during the Christmas holidays and were able to snag a seat in the comfy leather chairs by the fireplace! Despite the fact that nearby University of Toronto students were already on their holiday break, the place was pretty crowded for a mid-afternoon, with most of the seats taken. Coffee Culture offers many similar coffees and lattes to those of its well-known competitors, yet the prices are more reasonable. It’s a cozy spot for a leisurely conversation over coffee, but it may be difficult to secure a table when the U of T crowd has returned from vacation!

Terroni’s is located in the former York County Courthouse at 57a Adelaide Street West, and has a majestic Read the rest of this entry »

Toronto Women Working at Home Meetup Holiday Party at Spice Route

Spice Route

Spice Route

I attended a meeting of the Toronto Women Working at Home Meetup group last night at Spice Route. Spice Route was a great venue for the party, bustling with holiday office party merrymakers. The group organizer, Lisa Ng, a bubbly Wedding DJ, was celebrating the publication of an article on her business in Toronto Life Weddings. I met several other innovative and inspiring women who are launching their own businesses from home. A great evening for creative exchange! Pretty crowd, too!
